NICE TO MEET YOU

Who are we...

Wellnessity is a Baha’i inspired Special Interest Group (SIG) which aims to contribute to the advancement of civilization through participation in the discourses of society. A distinct feature of Wellnessity is our attempt to harmonise opinions and insights from science and spirituality.

Many discourses are already taking place on various aspects of humanity’s wellbeing and progress, and Wellnessity participates specifically in discourses on mental health. Whether through involvement in the life of the local community or during our studies, occupations, or professional activities, we strive to participate fruitfully in such discourses, learning with and from others and offering insights to the unfolding discussions.

The purpose of participation in discourses is not to persuade others to accept any particular views, nor is it a public relations activity or academic exercise. Rather, Wellnessity strives to adopt a posture of learning and engage in genuine conversation.  We do not offer any specific solutions to problems within mental health and wellbeing, but wish to share what we are learning and to learn with and from other like-minded individuals and groups.

OUR MISSION
To help build a better society by participation in discourses on mental wellbeing, we embrace a diversity of voices with a view to harmonising science and spirituality.

What is Special Interest Group?

A Special Interest Group is a group of individuals interested in a specific theme or field. Together, they study, consult, share insights and experiences, and engage in discourses in diverse spaces. They may also develop new projects or initiatives as they advance together. Special Interest Groups allow people to learn together about how to contribute to discourses effectively and coherently in their fields of interest. As well as through the articles published on Wellnessity, from time to time we organise gatherings for meaningful conversations, sometimes with guest speakers, for participants to learn from each other and share insights and personal perspectives. Everyone is welcome to attend!
